Narrowboats Ltd is built on a team that has a combined experience in the industry of over 50 years. We are based in Northwich, Cheshire at Wincham Wharf. The Wharf has been a boatyard since 1777, 3 years after its construction. It is still a maintained and functional boat yard with ourselves based in the main office onsite.

Wincham Wharf is one of the oldest complexes on the Trent & Mersey canal. The three story wharf building constructed in 1774, three years before the opening of the canal. The object being to service the building of the canal side facility. The building, now a public house, still has three floors and retains the original pulley and hoist system used to raise sacks between differing floor levels.

Narrowboats Ltd, Wincham Boat Sales has been established since 2010 initially as a boat brokerage.

While retaining the brokerage side of the business in 2012 we also moved into the new build market with the introduction of our exclusive 9’ slimline wide beam range.

Our team is dedicated to a high level of customer service and pride ourselves on our ability to make friends in a competitive industry. We share a wealth of experience and knowledge in both new & used narrowboats and wide beams. For buyers, we aim to match you with the boat that best suits your needs and budget. For sellers, we aim to market your boat across the range of media outlets we manage and coupled with our wealth of knowledge and experience maximizing your visibility in today’s market to any potential buyers.

Now in the midst of this new generation of boaters we have time to reflect on ourselves and have equipped ourselves with a new look, new logo, new ranges & new website launching in the summer of 2018. As well as an increase in the number of new build narrowbeams this past year has never seen such a large number of new build widebeams increase in demand and we are delivering boats to all corners of the UK.

After a successful Crick Boat Show where we launched our new ranges, the new logo, the brand new website and featured the new marina on the Trent Mersey canal Park Farm Marina. With 2018 now behind us and the focus being on the year ahead 2019 looks to be our best one yet.

There have been exciting new developments, this past year including the launch of our brand new state of the art website, an additional onsite crane with a capacity of 41 ton lifts up to 14’ wide vessels and the introduction of x12 New Build Ranges

We have also seen an increase in building commercial vessels for example the well known 70’ x 13’ Floating Spa, a narrowboat for The Royal Air Force and several luxurious wide beam hotel boats.

Back in 2013 The Pioneer Range was designed by our General Manager Liam Furby & Shareholder David Massey which introduced us into a rapidly increasing wide beam market and gave us the essential experience needed to lead the way with todays liveaboard requirements. The Pioneer has been consistently popular having won The Best Wide Beam at Crick 2016 and Runner up for The Best Wide Beam at Crick 2017. We are specifically known for some of the quickest build times in the industry for partially fitted to fully fitted averaging 3-5 months for delivery from the point of order.
